Many clients have often wanted to know can they change the name on a menu title and how do I re-create the order. Well this is a lot easier than you think.
- Go to the Joomla Backend and log in user your administrator account. Once you have arrived to the Control Panel:
- Go to the menu Menus > Select the Menu Area You Wish to Edit >
- A list displaying your menu items will appear. To change the order you can simply click the up/down arrows next to the order number until you have reached the desired location.
If you have several menus to change you may wish to try the second method. Simply type the number of the order you wish to have it displayed and when done click on the small "Disk" icon just above the order number list. You menu will jump to the order base on your listing. When changing order(s) there is no need to click Save. - To modify the name of a menu item click on the menu item name and under Title type your new name. You can delete the Alias name and have a new one auto created if you want it to be in relation to the title.
- If you wish this to be a sub-menu select the menu it belongs under in the Parent Item area. Please note if sub-menus are not displaying check Extensions > Module Manager > Select you Menu and make sure "Always show sub-menu items" is selected to "Yes". Click Save to save your changes.
